Funeral Options fields in DIGicon:

Personal Wishes

  • Who would you like at the funeral? - Choose: Just immediate family, Extended family and friends, I don't want a funeral service, or I'm not sure. 

  • VISITATION/GATHERING

    • Viewing / Visitation / Wake - Check this box if the insured wants a traditional viewing, visitation, or wake. 

    • Open Casket - Check this box if the casket should be open during the visitation/gathering. 

    • Closed Casket - Check this box if the casket should be closed during the visitation/gathering. 

    • Loved One's Choice - Check this box to defer the visitation/gathering decision to the family at the time of need. 

    • Fellowship Meal / Gathering - Check this box to indicate the insured wants a fellowship meal or reception as part of the service. 

    • Would you like a time for family to view the body before burial/cremation? - Choose: Yes, No, Loved One's Choice, or I'm not sure. 

  • A MEANINGFUL AND HEALING SERVICE

    • Memorial Service (after burial/cremation) - Check this box to indicate a memorial service held after the burial or cremation. 

    • Funeral Service (before burial/cremation) - Check this box to indicate a traditional funeral service held before the burial or cremation. 

    • Graveside Service (burial/cremation) - Check this box to indicate a service held at the graveside or place of burial/cremation. 

    • Location of Service - Enter where the service will take place (e.g., a church name, funeral home chapel).

    • Eulogy Presented By - Indicate who will deliver the eulogy.

    • Other Speakers - List any additional speakers at the service. 

    • Readings - List any readings the insured wants included in the service. 

    • Music - List any songs/music the insured wants played during the service. 

    • Memorial Contributions to - List organizations where memorial donations should be directed in lieu of flowers (e.g., "American Heart Association"). 

    • General Service Notes - Enter any additional notes about the service.

Additional Wishes

  • FOCAL POINT FOR THE SERVICE

    • Closed Casket - Indicates a closed casket as the focal point. 

    • Open Casket - Indicates an open casket as the focal point.

    • Ceremonial Urn - Indicates an urn as the focal point. 

    • Framed Picture - Indicates a framed picture as the focal point.

    • Other - Indicates a different focal point not listed. 

    • Loved One's Choice - Defer the focal point decision to the family.

    • Casket Preference - A text field for recording the insured's casket preference.

    • Urn Preference - A text field for recording the insured's urn preference.

  • Pallbearers - Add the names of people the insured wants to serve as pallbearers. Use the "Add Person" link to add people. The "None" checkbox indicates no pallbearers are desired. People added here should sync with the Family & Friends (People) tab. 

  • FINAL RESTING PLACE

    • Burial - Indicates burial as the final disposition. 

    • Cremation - Indicates cremation as the final disposition.

    • Type of Cemetery Property - Choose: Companion, Individual, Mausoleum, Columbarium, or Other.

    • Cemetery/Niche Property Location - Enter the name or location of the cemetery or niche. 

    • Deed Owner - Enter the name of the person who owns the cemetery deed. 

    • Section - Enter the section number/name within the cemetery. 

    • Lot - Enter the lot number within the cemetery section. 

    • Space - Enter the specific space within the lot. 

    • Permanent Memorial Marker - Record the insured's wishes regarding a permanent marker (e.g., headstone, plaque). 

    • Inscription - What the insured wants inscribed on the memorial marker.
