Create an add-on
The original contract must be paid up in order to create an add-on.
First, click Add > New Add-on in DIGicon.
Start filling out the information on the Add-on Request Info tab.
Enter the contract number you're adding to in the Addon-Request Contract Number field.
You do NOT need to include the letter at the end of the contract number.
Next, move to the Payment Information tab.
Select your Payment Type from the drop-down menu.
Add-ons require a signature for DIGicheck or Credit Card since a Conditional receipt of payment needs to be signed.
After the payment method is selected and entered, proceed to the Verification and Signature Collection tab and click Verify.
Once verification is complete, click Ok.
Finally, click Complete This Add-on.
Rules & limitations
There are a few rules and limitations when creating add-ons. Read more below.
States that do NOT allow add-ons:
Texas and Mississippi
North Carolina contracts:
Add‑ons must include a Goods & Services section, therefore signatures are required. If you don’t see the Goods & Services section on the add‑on, double‑check that the state and funeral home are correctly set to North Carolina on the contract
How many add-ons can be processed after a policy is issued?
During the first year, up to three (3) add-ons are eligible for commissions. After three add-ons OR after the first year, a new application is required to receive commissions.
What is the minimum amount I can submit to receive a commissioin payment?
Each add-on must be a minimum of $1,000 to receive commissions.
What commission rate will be paid on add-ons?
Commissions will be paid based on the Insured’s current age at the time of the add-on.
Can I do an add-on even if the purchaser is still making payments?
The original agreement must be paid in full before any add-ons can be processed.
If the original was irrevocably assigned, will the add-on also be irrevocable?
If the original is irrevocable, then all subsequent additions are irrevocable as well.
Are add-ons eligible for bonus growth?
No, bonus growth is not paid on add-ons.
